WEEK OF OCTOBER 1-5

8TH ACADEMIC ALGEBRA - This week we will continue to work on scientific notation, sections 1.6 and 1.7.  Our next quiz on those sections will be either at the end of this week or early next week. 


ACADEMIC GEOMETRY - We will have a quiz on Tuesday on section 1.5.  We will then spend one day on part of section 1.6.  After that we will start to review the entire chapter for a test early next week. 


BASIC GEOMETRY - This week we are still reviewing section 1.5.  We will also start section 1.6, which will finish the chapter.  Our chapter 1 test will be next week. 

WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 24

8TH ACADEMIC AGLEBRA - On Monday and Tuesday of this week, we are taking the CDT's in class.  We are also continuing our review of exponents. We will have a test on sections 1.1-.1.5 on either Wednesday or Thursday this week.  We will then move on to section 1.6


ACADEMIC GEOMETRY - We will have a quiz on Monday on sections 1.1-1.4.  We will start section 1.5 on Tuesday and work on that section for the next few days.  Our next quiz will be on section 1.5 and should be early next week. 


BASIC GEOMETRY - We are reviewing sections 1.3-1.4 on Monday and Tuesday.  We will have our quiz on either Wednesday or Thursday this week.  We will then move on to section 1.5

WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 17

8TH ALGEBRA - This week we will be working on section 1.4.  We will then review 1.3 and 1.4, then have our next quiz on Wednesday.  We will then move on to section 1.5. 


ACADEMIC GEOMETRY - This week we are working on section 1.4.  We will mix in algebra problems and learn to use a protractor. 


BASIC GEOMETRY - This week we are working on section 1.4, naming parts of angles, naming angles, using a protractor. 

WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 10

8TH GRADE ALGEBRA - On Monday, we continued our review of sections 1.1-1.2.  We will have our quiz on Tuesday.  We will then start on section 1.3 and continue into section 1.4.  Our next quiz will cover those two sections. 


ACADEMIC GEOMETRY - Those that didn't take the quiz on Friday will take it today.  We will then start on section 1.3, and work on the distance and midpoint formulas for the next few days. 


BASIC GEOMETRY - The quiz will be today in 6th period, tomorrow in 8th period.  We will then move on to section 1.3, distance and midpoints for the rest of the week.

WEEK OF AUGUST 27, 2018

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

On Monday, all classes will go over the Rules, Procedures, and Expectations for the year. 
On Tuesday, all students will receive their textbooks.  All classes will do a Beginning Of The Year Puzzle Exercise!!! 
On Wednesday, we will get into our regular class routine.  Assignments will be posted at that time. 

Students will need the following:  Notebook, Folder, Pens/Pencils, Scientific Calculator. 

8TH GRADE ALGEBRA - 1st, 2nd and 3rd periods.

8TH ACADEMIC ALGEBRA - This week we are working on sections 9.3 and 9.4.  Our next test will cover sections 9.1 - 9.4 and will either be at the end of this week or the beginning of next week. 


ACADEMIC GEOMETRY - This week we are working on sections 10.3 and 10.3.  Our next test will cover sections 10.1-10.4 and should be next Tuesday. 


BASIC GEOMETRY -  This week we are working on Proportions, Similar Figures, and Similar Polygons.  Our next quiz will either be at the end of this week or next Monday.
